Position: Licensing Coordinator
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Manager of Licensing
Position Summary
The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for completing all Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC), Drug enforcement Agency (DEA), Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS), Controlled Substances Act Registration (CSA), Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) applications for all practitioners. The Licensing Coordinator ensures all providers information is complete and accurate, all appropriate documents are maintained and current within MD Staff. The Licensing Coordinator also ensures that the management team is made aware of any potential compliance issues with all process. This is a Monday through Friday position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) applications for Initial Letter of Qualification (LOQ) and complete all required requests and documentation once submitted
- Complete all Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) additional state requests and complete all required requests and documentation once submitted
- Complete all Drug enforcement Agency (DEA) applications
- Complete all Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) applications
- Controlled Substances Act Registration (CSA) applications
- Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)
- Ensures all information is updated and attached in MD-Staff
- Create and send New Physician Licensure Packets
- Makes leadership aware of any potential derogatory issues identified during the process and works in collaboration with the team to resolve identified issues
- Handles incoming Licensure/Credentialing calls, takes messages, or provides appropriate information
- Completes other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physician licensing experience preferred
- MD Staff Experience preferred
- Experience with Credentialing Accreditation by Joint Commission or National Committee for Quality Assurance preferred
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Credentialing Software
Certificates and Licenses:
- Certified Provider Quality Control Assistant (CPCS) through National Association of Medical Staff Services a plus (Preferred)
