Storage Architect

Overview

Guidehouse Digital is currently seeking a Storage Architect who will work as a member of the IaaS Team supporting the government client in Kearneysville, WV.

The Storage Architect will will work as member of the IaaS Enterprise Storage team team to design, deploy, manage,the storage environmnet. The Enterprise Architect must interact with IaaS Storage team, aiding as needed. They must be a team player and willing to interact with other people at all levels throughout the organization by responding to data calls, ado requests, and work orders.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide and allocate storage to server assets
• Serve as in developing and maintaining enterprise systems architectural strategies that support the business
• Participates in, leads and guides to translate requirements into technical designs
• Develops migration plans for the implementation of enterprise requirements
• Research and investigate problems, diagnose and provide resolution or viable solutions for hardware and software issues; appropriately escalating and reporting recommendations clearly and effectively to management and tea
• Properly estimating work efforts and technical challenges (scoping projects).
• Adhering to Change/Configuration Management procedures and policies.
• Providing technical input for policies and procedures and maintaining accurate documentation on those policies/procedures.
• Perform DISA STIG analysis, STIG checklists and vulnerability assessments across virtual environments.
• Troubleshooting and resolving 3Par/NetApp storage issues

Requirements

The following qualifications are REQUIRED to be considered for this role:

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related degree program; OR, sufficient demonstrated technical experience and/or current IT Certification may be substituted for formal education.
• Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
• At least 10 years IT engineering experience supporting projects and systems of similar size, scope and technical complexity.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, as well as some working knowledge of Linux
• Experience with NetApp
• 3 Par
• Brocade

The following experience/education/skills are PREFERRED to be considered for this role:

• Working knowledge: VMware/ESXi and Microsoft Office
