Addiction Medicine Physician - Columbus, OH

Shifts - Days (Mon-Fri, 8-5)

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician who specializes in Addiction Medicine.

As a Physician, you will oversee medical services related to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).

Responsibilities

· Works actively as a member of the healthcare team to serve patients in a timely and effective manner. Conducts examinations, evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with the appropriate determination made as to disposition.

· You will provide quality care to all patients including consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and education in accordance with guidelines and principles of practice.

· Participate in quality improvement, prevention activities in the community, and health disparity reduction projects, and provide leadership, guidance, and direction to mid-level providers, nurses, MAs, and staff.

· You will also precept and have standard care agreements with our nurse practitioners.

· In addition, Physicians are responsible for being in compliance with peer review and the QI program and attending all relevant meetings.

· You will also collaborate with those responsible for case management, social services, referrals, community prevention, and other managers and communicate in a manner that promotes trust and cooperation among patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Must have an M.D. or D.O. degree.

Must be board certified in either family practice or internal medicine.

Must have a valid State of Ohio medical license, DEA Certificate, and XDEA certificate.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Must be willing to act as a Collaborating Physician for Certified Nurse Practitioners integrating Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) into practice
