Airport Commercial Planning Consultant

How often have you walked around an airport and thought about all the ways the passenger experience could be improved? Are you skilled in the area of financial analysis while also seeking outlets for creativity? If the answer is yes and you want to see your advice and analysis put into practice, you should join our aviation industry leading airport concessions planning team. Together we will help airport commercial and finance teams as well as airport architectural firms develop solutions to maximize revenue and the passenger experience on current, redeveloped or new airports. The work is enjoyable and relatable as all your friends will have opinions and stories to share about their travels.

As an Airport Commercial Planning Consultant, you will have a range of tasks on any given day and will often be asked to contribute to a handful of different projects throughout a month's time. Tasks may range from determining the optimal size of a retail program, researching the amenities of airport lounges, creating a highest and best use analysis or forecasting ROIs. Tasks vary as much as our clients do.

This role can either be located in our NYC or Fairfax, VA offices.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to gather data and present results of studies and analyses
• Develop and monitor project workplans ensuring client expectations are met
• Financial modeling of sales, revenue, space and other commercial datapoints to support the development of airport commercial sales and revenue forecasts
• Produce visually compelling analysis and reports
• Interpret market research, data and analysis and write correlating reports, when required
• Explore new Commercial planning concepts, tools, and techniques, ensuring ICF remains a leader in the industry
• Support growth and business development initiatives, such as the development of proposal responses, intellectual capital, white papers, and marketing materials

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree with courses in finance, business, economics, statistics, accounting or data analytics beneficial
• 2+ years' experience in the airport concession industry or retail industry
• Ability to develop complex Excel based spreadsheets using macros and other advanced techniques. Regression analysis experience is required
• Advanced level competency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint are important
• Power BI, Python, Bluebeam Revu or other CAD skills are desirable but not required
• Occasional travel (which amount will increase as expertise develops) is required
• Ability to write and speak Spanish is a plus but not a requirement
