Software Engineer 3/Remote

We are seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Software Engineer (GSP) proficient in the latest web, mobile and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

· Design and deploy solution-based, outcome-oriented products while embedded with a highly skilled team of software engineers at the world’s top renewable energy company.

· Gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies and delivery methodologies.

· Work in a fast-paced, agile project environment with small, focused teams.

· Improve technical expertise through pair programming and pull request reviews.

Qualifications:

· Creative problem-solver and self-driven lifelong learner who can navigate between technical stacks and various depths of technical expertise to design and deploy high quality products that meet customer needs.

· Proficient in Typescript

· Knowledge of Node.js

· Microservices/Containerization competency

· Test Driven Development mindset

· Willing to work in highly collaborative environment with emphasis on continuous improvement.

· Education and Desired Experience –

· BS in Computer Science or relevant experience

· 5+ years of developing software solutions

Experience or willingness to learn:

· A managed language (.NET Core, JVM based, BEAM VM)

· Dynamic scripting languages, Javascript, Typescript, Python

· AngularJS

· Node.js

· Unit testing with Karma, Jasmine, Jest

· Messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka

· Serverless services - AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Microsoft Azure, or other

· serverless technologies

· SQL Database design - MySQL, Postgres, SQLite, SQL Server

· NoSQL Databases - Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or other NoSQL

· Container technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm

· Agile methodologies and practices

· Multi-platform software utilizing various programming environments and tools
