Our very large and reputable logistics company is looking for Day Shift Propane Counterbalance Forklift Supervisors to become part of an excellent team!

Continental shift: 1st week 36hrs and the 2nd week 48hrs, the rotation is every 2 weeks. Therefore, work 2 weeks days and then 2 weeks nights .This schedule repeats every 4 weeks. The operation is 7 days a week 24hrs per day. You MUST be able to work every 2nd weekend: Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Pay Range: $25.00 to 26.00 per hour, TBD

SUPERVISOR DUTIES

• Managing and directing the team to ensure that company targets are met
• Assisting with the training of new warehouse employee's
• Ability to cover other employee's shift when required
• Scheduling employees shifts and monitoring breaks on site
• At times giving the upper management opinions on new hires, however not apart of the hiring decision or interview process

FORKLIFT DUTIES
Must be able to operate forklift to assist employees when required with the following duties:

• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Loads and unloads trailers / open and closing of door docks
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system (RF scanner)
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Complete daily logs, maintain inventory records and use the computer to enter records
• Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber
• Pack containers and parcels for mailing and re-pack damaged containers
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department

Looking for Candidates With:

• At least 2-4 years of Supervisor experience in warehouse/distribution facility
• Valid experience operating the propane counterbalance and a valid forklift license
• Warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)
• Flexible to work mandatory overtime when required or the coverage of other shifts when short staffed
• Experience with glass products - container will be placed on a skid, the bulk orders are not always boxed
• SAP System experience and hand eye coordination
• Must be experienced with Wide Loads with double fork forklift machines
• Ability to delegate work
• Ability to resolve personnel conflicts
