We are looking for a Wills and Estates Law Clerk to join our team.

Job Description

• We are looking for a full-time Wills and Estates Law Clerk to join our firm.
• We are a small, but close-knit team located in the heart of Markham village.
• The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of drafting estate planning and estate administration documents.
• The candidate’s salary will be based on their level of experience.

Candidate requirements:

• 10 years or more prior experience as a Wills and Estates Law Clerk
• Law Clerk Diploma from accredited College/University
• Proficiency with MS Office, Unity, Lawyer Done Deal, Teraview and PC Law Professionalism with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently following instructions with minimal supervision

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Drafting Wills, and Powers of Attorney;
• Preparing Applications for Certificates of Appointment, both with and without Wills;
• Preparing survivorship Applications and spousal transfer documents through Teraview;
• Engaging with clients throughout all processes;
