Where does an antenna engineer work?

Antenna engineers may work for private sector companies, academic and research institutions, or the government. Many government antenna engineering jobs are with the Defense Department and include work on military communications such as antenna systems on airplanes and military drones. Private sector jobs are with cell phone companies and other product manufacturers. These jobs generally include research or product development, though you could also analyze existing products and suggest improvements. Academic positions focus on teaching and researching new technologies such as antenna miniaturization and communications cloaking.
