Waiters work in a variety of food service establishments, from fast food chains to fine dining establishments. The restaurant where you work could be stand-alone, or it could be attached to a hotel, resort, or country club. Regardless of where you work, your job duties as a waiter will be similar: greet guests, take their orders, serve their beverages and food, check on your guests, and process payments. There will also be other side jobs, such as wiping down chairs or sweeping the floor, that comes with a restaurant job.
