Where does a power system dispatcher work?

A power system dispatcher works in an office setting, often in a power plant. They monitor equipment using a computer, coordinating with crews to complete needed repairs, and communicating with engineers and planners to provide information about clearances, orders, and distribution changes. Some positions may require you to work out in the field to monitor repairs and new installations. You may also travel to other offices to discuss power supplies and other issues.
