Where do social workers work?

Social Workers are employed in many different types of organizations. Hospitals, mental health facilities, and veterans clinics use social workers to assist with cases involving illness and injury. Social Workers are found in substance abuse clinics, correctional facilities, child welfare agencies, and senior care centers. Local governments, schools, and military bases employee them as well. Licensed Social Workers may operate independently in their own practice.
