A miner is a laborer who works at a mining site, extracting coal, metals, oil shale, gemstones, rock salt, or other minerals from underground blocks. Mining sites exist all around the world in resource-rich areas, often in and around mountains. Your training as a miner’s apprentice provides you with the knowledge and skills to work in different mining locations utilizing a variety of mining techniques. Additional career qualifications include passing miner certification exams and complete first aid training.
