Medical records technicians most frequently work in state, local, and private hospitals, medical practices, clinics, and doctor’s offices. In any of these positions, you are responsible for keeping medical records accurate, complete, and accessible for patients and medical professionals. There are also jobs available with government offices, correctional facilities, and insurance providers. Some workers are involved in administrative and support, technical services, and nursing care facilities.
