Where do market research analysts work?

Some large companies have an in-house staff of market research analysts, but most market research analyst positions are at market research firms. There, analysts work for a variety of clients who have hired the firm on a contract basis. Other places you may find analyst jobs include government agencies, colleges and universities, and the manufacturing sector. Since market research analysis is widely used in many industries, some analysts develop an area of expertise to be more competitive in their niche.
