Forensic science technicians can work in a variety of locations, depending on their area of specialization. If you work as a crime scene investigator, you typically work in a police department and are sent to a crime scene when needed. Lab technicians work in special labs where they perform their work. However, in this role, you may also be called to a crime scene if the case requires it.
