Where do food inspectors work?

Career: Food Inspector

Food inspectors work in a variety of settings. In this field, you may work in a slaughterhouse, farm, egg processing plant, or any other food production facility. You may be required to travel between facilities and be responsible for many different sites. Food production facilities are often loud and very busy, so you must be able to work in conditions that have many distractions. When not working in the field, you spend the rest of your time in an office, writing reports or preparing for your inspections.
