Where do animators work?

Animators work in numerous fields, but their roles are fairly universal. Many animators work in television and film; they are typically employed at large animation or production studios with many different departments. As computer gaming continues to grow in popularity, more animators are working in video game studios. Other animators may work for websites and tech start-ups, educational companies or schools, or newspaper or magazines with an online presence. There are also positions for animators who are interested in working in industrial design, manufacturing, and engineering.
