Where do agronomists work?

Agronomists can work in a variety of locations and organizations, but the majority of agronomists are employed by private businesses. Some agronomists often spend their workdays outdoors with farmers observing crops at farms and plants in greenhouses, as well as traveling to food processing mills. It is possible for agronomists performing these tasks to be exposed to heavy machinery and other potential hazards. You may also spend a significant amount of time in a laboratory or other research facility performing a number of controlled experiments.
