Career: Acupuncturist

In order to practice acupuncture, you must hold a degree from an Oriental medicine program. Some employers may require a bachelor’s degree as well. If you attend an institution accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) they will also be required to undergo at least two years of undergraduate work. In addition to standard acupuncture education, you may wish to become certified in other areas of Eastern medicine as well.
