What do acupuncturists do?

Acupuncturists are accredited Eastern medicine experts. Their job is to help patients and clients realign their energy flow, or Qi, to promote overall physical wellness. They specialize in addressing both physical and psychological ailments, such as hypertension and anxiety. On a daily basis, Acupuncturists meet with new and returning clients who wish to try alternative treatment options. They review different therapy plans and determine what will benefit the patient’s body most. After this initial meeting, treatment begins. Acupuncturists use tools such as needles, cups, and earballs. One session typically lasts 30-60 minutes. Additionally, an acupuncturist is required to document patient progress and maintain accurate records at all times. The safety and longevity of a client’s physical and psychological well-being is an acupuncturist's main priority.
