What makes a good remote teacher?

Great remote teachers are knowledgeable in the courses they teach; they have studied the curriculum and developed lesson plans that are engaging and makes it easy for the students to follow and retain information. As a remote teacher, much of your work and instruction are done with the computer, so you must be computer literate and proficient with the web portal, online software, or other methods that you need to use for instruction to ensure there are no issues during class time. Students sometimes need additional assistance; good remote teachers offer one-on-one help during online "office hours," through email, and other forms of communication.
