An investor relations analyst relies on both financial prowess and their understanding of economics, data analysis, and customer relations to identify areas of opportunity to improve investor confidence and build on investing opportunities. Serving as a type of financial consultant for a company or firm, an investor relations analyst communicates to management when new investment opportunities become available. They often rely on corporate legal counsel to ensure all activities remain in compliance with current laws and regulations. Other duties include preparing and analyzing quarterly earnings data, creating valuations for company assets, and researching market conditions.
