What is an investor?

Investors commit their own money or their client’s money into products, property, or financial ventures in order to gain more money in return. As an investor, you may invest in the stock market and purchase stocks, bonds, mutual funds, options, and futures. Real estate investors purchase properties with the intention of selling them for a higher price. Some investors provide capital to entrepreneurs to develop a product or service in exchange for a profit share in the company.
