What is a senior systems analyst?

A senior systems analyst implements and oversees complex computer systems for a business or organization with the goal of increasing efficiency. As a senior systems analyst, it’s your job to design, code, and test new software applications. You also document and analyze these systems, report the progress, and route any issues appropriately. Troubleshooting issues, managing risks, and providing technical support are also important duties of this role. Prior experience as an analyst or in programming languages is required for this career as well as strong communication skills. Educational qualifications begin with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, information technology, or system analysis.
