What is a senior care assistant?

A senior care assistant is an elder care worker that assists seniors in all aspects of daily living. Job duties include helping them with meal preparation, basic cleaning, and hygiene. Additional responsibilities include providing transportation to appointments and events, administering medication, and assessing their health level. They may also offer companionship by recommending and accompanying seniors to activities and social get-togethers. Many senior care assistants work as part of a care team at a hospital, assisted living facility, or similar institution.
