What is a security coordinator?

A security coordinator organizes security procedures for a business, organization, or any other large facility. As the security coordinator, you are also responsible for enforcing security procedures among your guard staff. Your duties are to develop training programs, regulate entry to the building, and manage the security department as a whole. You can get a foothold in this career through security experience alone, but a background in law enforcement can help you secure a position. There are no formal educational qualifications needed to become a security coordinator.
