Security Coordinator


The Security Coordinator assists the Supervisors in managing the daily operations of the department. The Security Coordinator is responsible for managing department reporting, coordinating general operations and special events, responding to incidents, assisting in managing logistics, and training and developing patrol officers.


Manage Reporting

Assist with department records for incident reports. Ensure that student supervisor reports are correctly written and compliant with standards. Ensure follow-through on reports submitted to the Security Department. Ensure that all incident media (photos, videos, electronic documents) are collected and stored on the network.

Coordinate Daily Shifts and Special Events

Help coordinate with other departments to provide security services for daily and special events. Prepare the shift for special duties such as gate/building opening and closing and sign and cone setup. Assist in managing student workers through quality assurance of security services for all events.

Manage Logistics

Assist in managing the twenty-four hour dispatch center. Handle paperwork, phone and event logs, maintenance work orders entered by Security, and daily schedules ranging from building and gate openings to special events.

Coordinate Patrol Officers

Coordinate shift details and patrol officers in the field. Respond to medical emergencies and perform safety inspections around campus. Assist with training student worker, evaluating student workers, and developing them to become better employees.
