Job Summary:
Want to help protect something that really matters? As a Security Intern, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how Centrus Energy protects its people, facilities, information, and nuclear materials. You'll work alongside experienced security professionals, contribute to real-world projects, and see how security, technology, and teamwork come together in one of the nation's most important energy industries.
What You Will Do:
You'll jump into projects involving security programs, assessments, documentation, access control, inspections, training, and compliance. You'll help organize information, support day-to-day security activities, and look for ways to make our programs even stronger. It's an opportunity to learn, ask questions, gain valuable experience, and see firsthand what a career in nuclear security can look like.
We'd Love to Hear from People With:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business, or a related field
  • Preference given to candidates in their Junior or Senior year
  • Curiosity, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • U.S. citizenship

Pay:
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $25/hr. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively. Such access is required for the performance of this position.
