Job Purpose

As an IT Security Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's information security program. While prior IT experience is nice to have, we are seeking an individual with an analytical mindset and a strong interest in cybersecurity.This internshipprovidesan excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the field and contribute to our security initiatives.This role will be split between our Security Operations and GRC Security Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifyingwhich systems and data are affected by specific incidents.

  • Documenting security incident details.

  • Collecting raw data and reviewing alarms and alerts.

  • Confirming,determining, or adjusting the criticality of alerts.

  • Enriching alerts with relevant data.

  • Identifyingfalse positives and high-risk events.

  • Managing and configuring monitoring tools.

  • Contributing to in-depth assessments using threat intelligence.

  • Support governance documentation and policy management

  • Contribute to risk assessment and compliance activities

  • Assistwith audit preparation andevidencecollection

  • Participate in security awareness and governance initiatives

  • Additionally, you might be involved in tasks such as providing security recommendations, managing security controls (e.g.endpoint security, vulnerability management, data loss prevention), andassistingwith documentation and runbooks.

  • Current full-timeenrollmentin an accredited college, university, vocational/trade school.

  • Ability to report onsite at least three days per week.

  • Final/pre-final year of study in IT or related field (electronics, automation, etc.)

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.

  • Interest in Cybersecurity: Passion for learning about information security.

  • Fluency in English language

  • Optional Certifications:certificationssuch as CCNAor CompTIAare a plus.
