What is a Scrum Product Owner?

A Scrum product owner is responsible for the overall management of product development within the Agile methodology. As a Scrum product owner, you are responsible for establishing the overall vision for the product or service that is being developed, and conveying this vision to the development team who builds the product. At the end of a defined number of sprints, you meet with the development team to determine if the project is on track and identify correctional changes for the next set of sprints. You are responsible for understanding each facet and job role within the Scrum process, ensuring that all team members possess the experience and skills to accomplish their roles, and that all work is contributing toward the success of the project.
