What is a recruitment officer?

A recruitment officer is either a direct employee or a consultant who helps a company find qualified job candidates to fill open positions. As a recruitment officer, your duties include reaching out to potential candidates through posted resume listings and social media, attending networking events and career fairs to make contacts, conducting the initial screening interview, and recommending qualified candidates to the hiring manager. You need excellent interpersonal skills along with an understanding of the industry for which you are recruiting candidates.
