What is a real estate coordinator?

A real estate coordinator ensures that every real estate transaction goes smoothly. This job requires working not only with the broker, but with other agents, escrow companies, and real estate professionals on each deal. Normal duties involve overseeing transactions, coordinating inspections and repairs, and submitting the required documentation. This career requires a background in real estate, and experience working directly with a wide range of clients. Additional qualifications include strong communication skills and knowledge of local and state real estate laws. Many employers prefer coordinators with an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
