What is a real estate agent?

A Real Estate Agent helps people sell or buy property and homes. They can work as a buyer’s agent to help the client purchase a home, or as a listing agent to help a client sell a home. Most Real Estate Agents work with specific kinds of property. Many will work with residential properties, such as single-family homes or condos. Commercial Real Estate Agents work with owners buying and selling office buildings or storefronts. Other specialties include a focus on luxury homes, foreclosures, and vacation properties. Real Estate Agents work on commission and make a percentage of the amount of the property in the transaction.
