What is a packager?

A packager is in charge of putting together packages for shipping. As a packager, you typically work in a warehouse to assemble the right materials and ensure the safety of packages during transit. Your main duties are to pack and inspect items, label them correctly, and move them to the loading dock. Usually, this career requires no formal education beyond a high school diploma. However, most employers prefer packagers who have some background in the field. Experience using a forklift or experience with pallet jacks, for example, is helpful for landing a job. Additional qualifications include strong listening skills and good physical strength.
