What is a medical administrator?

A medical administrator works in a hospital, health clinic, or other organization that provides health care. They oversee the management of the administrative aspects and organization of the health care provider. Job duties may include dealing with finances, human resources, equipment and technology acquisition, working with management, and facilities maintenance. Planning, business strategies, and developing new health care services are often part of the job description of a medical administrator. In larger organizations, an administrator may have support staff.
