What is a Java web developer?

A Java web developer creates and maintains web applications for computers and mobile devices primarily using the Java programming language. As a Java web developer, your job duties include developing software applications using a programming language or framework such as HTML, CSS, Java, and JavaScript; debugging and troubleshooting issues as they arise; creating patches and updates for web-based applications; and integrating Java applications with other programs using an application programming interface (API) or other technologies. You may work independently or with a team, so strong communication and collaboration skills are essential in this role.
