What is a game artist?

A game artist creates characters and environment images for computer games and video games. Their responsibilities include concept design, animation, and user experience. Job duties involve collaborating with other artists and graphic designers, creating sketches for storyboards, and contributing style to the look of games. To succeed in this career, you need computer animation skills with both 2D and 3D programs, as well as drawing skills and an understanding of color theory, scene design, and illustration.
