What is a food service team member?

A food service team member works at a fast food restaurant or another facility that serves food, such as a grocery store deli, amusement park, or even a large retailer. As a food service team member, your job duties include preparing food, providing customer service, stocking and rotating merchandise, following all safety regulations, and performing various administrative and cleaning tasks. The preferred qualifications for this career include strong communication skills, experience in food service, an interest in cooking, and a high school diploma, although some people start working in food service before finishing school.
