What is a digital editor?

A digital editor is responsible for ensuring web content is commissioned, edited, and posted to the internet. Your primary duties as a digital editor are to consult with the marketing department about goals, assign stories or content to writers, edit the articles, and publish them on a website. You may also work with illustrators, photographers, and graphic designers to provide supplementary material. The qualifications for this job include a bachelor’s degree in a writing-intensive subject and career experience in print or digital media publishing.
