A custodial supervisor, or janitorial manager, manages a team of janitorial staff. This team can be a part of either an in-house custodial department or an independent cleaning service. In custodial supervisor jobs, your duties include monitoring employees, managing schedules, and ensuring the right equipment and supplies are available. You must also see that the staff complies with the procedures of the company and that they complete all cleaning tasks to the employer or client’s specifications. This is a management position, but you may also be expected to perform cleaning duties.
