What is a community liaison?

A community liaison, or community liaison officer (CLO), interacts with a local community on behalf of an organization, such as a police department, school, or charity project. Their duties include providing information, translation, or training to people in the community. Officers may also host or attend community meetings, public service seminars, and press conferences. Other responsibilities are reporting back to the organization on how well information was received.
