What is a claim trainee?

Claims trainees are entry-level employees learning how to process claims in the insurance industry. A claims adjuster assesses insurance claims, such as auto accidents or home thefts, and determines whether or not an application should receive compensation. Claims trainees provide administrative support to the adjuster; they review benefits paperwork, interview the client, and research the accident reports. As you gain more experience, you can eventually move from being a trainee to an adjuster.
