What is a booking manager?

A booking manager, also called a booking agent, works with creative artists to develop their careers by booking performances such as a music gig or TV commercial. These networking professionals may work independently or as part of a talent booking agency. As a booking manager, your job duties include contacting venue owners to schedule performances, negotiating fees and payment for your clients, and finding new talent to represent.
