What is wildlife management?

Career: Wildlife Management

Wildlife management is the task of caring for wild animal populations and the environments in which they live. Methods are used for conservation and restoration of habitats and species as a whole. Studies backed by science reveal changes and correlations in populations and provide insight for future predictions. Wildlife management looks at the health of nature and strives to support growth with resources and legal policies and procedures. Wildlife management ensures certain activities are controlled, including when people can hunt certain animals, how much game they are allowed to bring in, and where people can travel in the wild.
