What is on air talent?

On-air talent is a general term for any performer or reporter who is recorded live on radio or television. As an on-air talent, your responsibilities include portraying the voice or personality desired by the television or radio station for which you work in a way that engages your audience and keeps them tuned in. You may find yourself conducting interviews with guests, covering sports events, reporting the news, hosting a talk show, portraying a character, and promoting products or other upcoming events. Your job is to be the face or voice of your station or program.
