What does an OTR Class B driver do?

As an over the road or OTR Class B driver, your job is to transport and deliver cargo. Class B drivers may use a straight truck, a box truck, a dump truck, or similar vehicles to transport the cargo. The important distinction in licensing is that a Class B CDL covers any single vehicle with a gross combination weight of 26,001 pounds or more or towing a vehicle that is not heavier than 10,000 pounds. This typically includes vehicles like segmented buses, box trucks, passenger buses, and tractor-trailers. Some endorsements further change the types of vehicles you can drive in this role.
