How to become an OTR Class B driver?

The primary qualification for becoming an OTR Class B driver is meeting both federal and state guidelines for obtaining a Class B CDL, or commercial driver's license. This usually includes having a regular driver's license, passing a written knowledge test, and passing a driving skills test. Applicants must be at least 21 years old for interstate commercial driving, though it may be possible to get a single-state CDL as early as 18. Previous experience driving large vehicles can help you stand out from other applicants, especially early in your career.
