What does an assistant terminal manager do?

As an assistant terminal manager, your job is to help oversee the daily operations of a transportation facility. This position typically focuses on managing commercial deliveries of products like food or petroleum, but terminals may have other focuses. To accomplish the job, you help manage staff, coordinate a schedule, ensure the terminal has enough drivers for its vehicles, ensure compliance with all regulations, promote facility cleanliness, and provide feedback and suggestions. Assistant terminal managers are also responsible for supporting a positive culture, nurturing relationships with customers and vendors, participating in the development of strategic business plans, and assisting the senior terminal manager as needed.
