What does a weekend medical assistant do?

Weekend medical assistants work part-time on Saturdays and Sundays at a health care facility to help doctors and other staff treat patients. In this role, you may handle both administrative and clinical duties. Administrative duties include answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, gathering medical history, updating patient records, choosing appropriate codes, and completing insurance forms.
