What does a virtual academic advisor do?

A virtual academic advisor works for high schools or colleges to advise current and potential students with their decisions on classes and careers. You work with online video messaging tools to connect with students who are either enrolled in remote education programs or are at a different campus. In this role, your job duties include reviewing student files, determine what guidance or assistance the students need to be able to finish the year's courses or help them determine which courses to take in the coming year, and providing information on post-school job and career opportunities. You may also attend educational conferences to market your school's educational programs to prospective students.
